Privacy policy

AmpLedger has no accounts, no newsletter, no login and no advertising network. There is very little to tell you — which is the point.
The calculator does not send us anything
The vehicle, utility and mileage you enter into the calculator are processed entirely inside your own browser. Those values are never transmitted to us, never stored, and never associated with you. If you close the tab, they are gone. This is not a policy promise we ask you to trust — it is how the page is built, and you can confirm it by opening your browser's network inspector while you use the tool.
What we do collect
This site is served through Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare records standard technical information about requests: IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and operating system, the page requested, and the time. This data is used to serve the site, protect it from abuse, and understand aggregate traffic. We do not combine it with anything else and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
Cookies
AmpLedger sets no cookies of its own. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session replay, or fingerprinting.
Amazon does set cookies when you click through to their site. That is how affiliate attribution works: Amazon records that you arrived from AmpLedger so it can credit a purchase to us. Once you are on Amazon, you are subject to Amazon's own privacy notice, not ours. We have no access to your Amazon account, your cart, your payment details, or your identity — the only thing we ever see is an anonymous, aggregated report of how many qualifying orders were placed.
Analytics
AmpLedger does not currently run any analytics package. If that changes, we will use a cookieless, privacy-preserving option that does not track individuals across sites, and we will update this page before it goes live.
Data we never ask for
We do not ask for your email address, your name, your street address, your ZIP code stored anywhere, your utility account number, or any payment information. There is no form on this site that collects personal data.
Children
This site is aimed at adults making household purchasing decisions and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a business holds about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. AmpLedger does not sell or share personal information, and holds no personal information beyond the server logs described above. If you would like to make a request anyway, write to hello@ampledger.com and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it.
